I love to hike and get out with my family. Since we have moved to Denver its almost a weekly occurrence. We explore, talk, argue, laugh, discover, uncover rocks and breathe in the mountain air. It also helps that my husband is a forever adventurer so this just works for us.
Protecting the planet for my children and other more unstable environments should be of utmost importance. While my husband and I enjoy a good dystopian scifi, we really dont want to have to colonize nearby planets… this one is pretty great. Being good stewards of what we have, even if at times it feels like our personal impact is small, meaningless or insignificant IS JUST THE POINT. As Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu put it best…
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
SO WHY EARTHJUSTICE? I loved their focus being on the law to protect earth. Instead of grassroots efforts like the 3Rs, they are meeting corporations and governments where they are and advocating for the planet. Their legal work has saved irreplaceable wildlands, cleaned up the air we breathe, and fueled the rise of 100% clean energy. It has protected countless species on the brink of extinction, and secured long-overdue, historic limits on our nation’s worst polluting industries. When they go to court, they get results that protect the planet more and more with each ruling.
My EXHALE design supports environmental justice and reform through EARTHJUSTICE.
