Finance & Legal
Quickbooks - The industry standard for a reason. Simplify your booking needs in one place. If you are verified with TechSoup, this should be at a reduced or no cost to you as a 501(c)3
Harbor Compliance - Harbor Compliance has a fantastic onboarding process and a simple way for nonprofits to file their paperwork.
Email Marketing
Mailchimp - A pretty common email tool but its great for nonprofits on my favorite website platform because of the internal integrations. Save the ZAPS (zapier) for other items and use Mailchimp.
Squarespace Campaigns - Again, another fantastic internal system of Squarespace but it does require a bit more admin. For the price though, its worth it for my new and smaller nonprofits.
MailerLite - A absolutely fantastic option that a client told me all about. (thank you Ania). Check out my blog on how to use this beauty thats FREE!

Appreciation for Donors & Volunteers
Automation + Integrations
Zapier - The connector of all connectors! This little baby is just super powerful. Make sure to be careful on set up. FREE plans require less than 5 zaps, only two steps, no premium tasks and less than 100 items moved each month. IF you have to bump up is nominal at about $20 a month.
Weglot - This amazing tool comes fully integrated and functional for Squarespace websites. I have utilized it for years on builds and it really levels up those “google translations”.
Signage + Swag
Best of Signs - Best of Signs has really some of the best products from your event step and repeat to your banners. Their largest banner is 8x10 so keep that in mind. Make sure you use my coupon doe for 15% off of $500.
Printful - I live to use Printful in my own MERCH THAT MATTERS shop which gives back to my favorite causes. But I have also seen it be effective for nonprofits to add a small storefront, like THIS. Adding items for donors to purchase where proceeds go to your cause in an easy and fun way to get people involved and spread the word about your charity.
BannerNPrint - If you need bigger than 8x10 banners/step and repeat, check out BannerNPrint. They have been super helpful and have awesome quality!
Team & Task Organization
Asana - I love Asana for my personal project and task management and I have seen how amazing it can be for nonprofits. Check out my post on how to set it up.
Donor Management (CRM)
DonorBOX - I love DonorBOX for new and start-up charities. It’s simple and has room to grow. You can just set up the donation pages as your “website” if needed or you can embed the forms for good web practice. Even nudge donors to cover credit card fees.
DonorDOCK - I love DonorDOCK just as much as DonorBox. It’s fantastic and simple to set up for new and mid to large charities. Embeddable forms make me super happy and integrations with high-tech addons like Harness, Emma, and even DonorBOX make this a great option. Process tax letters and even include your email marketing for a single-stop charity management system.
Harness Giving - Want to know how those other nonprofits make beautiful buttons and embed forms EASY?! Well its with this gorgeous online giving solution! Their donor management and communications are a bit less than DonorBOX and DonorDOCK so make sure to use them if you need those features and connect via Zapier.
HELPFUL TO AVOID
Network for Good - While their internal systems and interface as stupid easy… their integrations and out-linkning requirements for ALL donations make this a big NO from me. Their lack of integrations also hurt your Social Media efforts and tracking with Analytics and FB Pixel.
RaisersEdge - They used to be the industry standard but have since fallen way behind the mavericks wanting to offer nonprofits a better system for a fraction of the cost. Spend your money elsewhere.
Website Platform (CMS)
Squarespace - I mean, you knew this right?
Google Ad Grant
Nonprofit Megaphone - If you need help setting up your account or managing your Google Ads, these are the experts to handle it. They even help you get registered with TechSoup (who google uses to verify your standing as a nonprofit).
