4 STEPS TO SUBMITTING YOUR SITEMAP WITH ONE CLICK ON SQUARESPACE
If you're a nonprofit AND you have a website, you probably want to reach as many people as possible with your message and mission. And one of the best ways to do that is to optimize your site for search engines, or SEO for short. SEO is the art and science of making your website more visible and relevant to the people who are looking for what you offer. And one of the tools that can help you with SEO is Google Search Console.
Google Search Console is a free service that lets you monitor and improve your site's performance on Google's search results. It gives you insights into how people find and interact with your site, what keywords they use, what pages they visit, what issues they encounter, and more. It also lets you submit your sitemap to Google, which is a file that tells Google about the structure and content of your site.
Why is submitting your sitemap important? Well, it helps Google crawl and index your site more efficiently and accurately. It tells Google what pages you have, how often they change, how they relate to each other, and what kind of information they contain. This way, Google can show your site to the right people at the right time, and rank it higher for relevant queries.
Submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console is easy and takes only a few minutes.
Here's how you do it on Squarespace (bc its STUPID EASY):
Step 1: Sign into your Squarespace Account

Step 4: …and your done.
You are welcome to do it the long way (explained here) but Squarespace (who has already simplified your Sitemap problem) has made this a one click connection.
